Power PRo Designation

Get membership perks and other benefits by earning the OHSPRA Power PRo designation! This unique -- and FREE -- membership award allows you to earn points for things you may already doing with OHSPRA.

How to earn your Power PRo

Earn seven points within the membership year by completing a combination of the following activities. (Please note that + indicates a core requirement that may not be substituted.)

Required to earn your Power PRo: 

• Be in good standing (paid up) with OHSPRA. + (1 pt)
• Perform a small PR research project to benefit OHSPRA, assigned by the president. + (2 pt)

Other Power PRo point options: 

• Enroll a new OHSPRA member. (1 pt each) 
• Enroll a new NSPRA member. (1 pt each) 
• Submit materials to OHSPRA Publication Exchange at OSBA Capital Conference. (1 pt) 
• Attend OHSPRA virtual events. (1 pt each) 
• Attend the OHSPRA in-person conference, if applicable. (1 pt) 
• Help judge the OHSPRA annual awards. (1 pt) 
• Help judge another SPRA's annual awards. (1 pt) 
• Be a member in good standing with NSPRA. (1 pt) 
• Volunteer during the OHSPRA Spring Conference if applicable. (1 pt) 
• Present a session at OHSPRA's Spring Conference if applicable. (2 pts)

2023 Power PRo Perks

• Receive an exclusive award to showcase in your district to acknowledge your accomplishment.
• A letter of designation will be sent to your superintendent and school board recognizing your achievement.
• You will be profiled by OHSPRA on our website, in our newsletter, on social media, and during the annual OHSPRA Awards Celebration.
• Proudly display the “OHSPRA PowerPRo” digital badge after your name and title on your email signature and/or on your resume.
