The Ohio School Public Relations Association is proud to welcome two inspirational speakers to the 2022 Spring Conference.
This year's keynote will be delivered by Chris Singleton. Singleton is a former minor league baseball player who was drafted by the Chicago Cubs. He became a nationally renowned speaker with a message of resilience, forgiveness and unity following the loss of his mother in the 2015 Mother Emanuel Church Tragedy in Charleston, SC. An accomplished author, Chris’s children’s book, Different – A Story About Loving Your Neighbor, was a best-seller and is a featured book of The Obama Foundation. Chris's overall mission when speaking is to inspire his audiences with his story of resilience and to unite millions of people with his belief that, "Love is Stronger Than Hate.”
This year's headliner is Nicole Kirby, the 2021-2022 president of the National School Public Relations Association. Kirby has more than 20 years experience in school public relations. Kirby's session "Lessons Learned in the Pandemic – Strategy, Skills and Self-Care" will share all the best practices she has learned so far during the pandemic, both from her own experience and from other top professionals. It has been hard, but there were some valuable lessons that PR pros will carry forward. Learn strategies and tactics that we can all continue to use for everything from managing families’ anxiety to supporting safety to handling the overwhelming workload.
